[Review] Buzzer beat (ブザー・ビート)

This Japanese drama revolves around a pro basketball player (Tomohisa Yamashita as Naoki Kamiya) who aim to become better but due to his relatively smaller size and his tendency to crack under pressure, he is unable to show his true skills on the court.
The story started when one day a cheerful violinist  (Keiko Kitagawa as Riko Shirakawa) picked up Naoki’s cell phone on a bus and then meeting in a park leading to a friendship that slowly turning into love.  However, Naoki was already considering marriage with his current girlfriend (Saki Aibu as Nanami Natsuki). And it doesn’t help matters that Naoki’s coach (Hideaki Ito as Kawasaki Tomoya) has fallen in love at first sight with Riko!

I just finished this drama not long ago and i totally loved it!!!! XDXD I, myself are a total fan of classical music and basketball so this drama is like my dream came true~ XD I love Keiko so much!! She’s so pretty and her hair too~ Same goes to Tomohisa aka Yamapi~ I’m not a big fan of him but i totally in love with Naoki~ They looked good together~ XD

I totally recommend this to those who like watching happy ending love story and hate those drama whereby girls are weak little thing, will not stand up for herself and are submissive. (<- I’m totally being biased here… =P)

[I'm back...again~ ^^;;] + [Mai-ramen(舞ラーメン) review]

Like the title suggested, i’m currently into blogging again…~
I’ve such short interest span that i get boring at one thing very fast~ =P

Anyway, moving on~ I recently visited this japanese cafe called Mai-ramen Cafe(舞ラーメン) located in Jaya one, Petaling Jaya.

 

Background info:
Mai Ramen is a newly opened casual Japanese cafe established on the 5th August 2010. They specialize in Kyushu style pork ramen and also offer a wide range of Japanese varieties from starters to yakimono, agemono, donburi, curry rice, okonomiyaki, bento’s and if that doesn’t sound mouth-watering enough, they top it all off with traditional Japanese desserts.

For those whom need drinks to complete a hearty meal, they have what you need too! Mai Ramen offers an impressive range of sake’s, beer and others to complete what truly is an authentic Japanese experience.

I’m in Japan!! XD…..But going back to Malaysia next week… ^^;;

I went starbucks today! I’m so happy~ Coffee in Japan is somwhow…Well, not my taste.. ^^;; Now, Starbucks is just what i want~ I miss Starbucks very much~ X3 I drank Dark Mocha Frappucino Blended Coffee~ ^^It tastes like dark chocolate drink~ The chocolate taste is stronger compare to Java Chip Frappucino Blended Coffee~

Then i went to watch Detective Conan 13th movie: ‘The Raven Chaser’ in the cinema~ Though i’m bit disapointed with  the storyline, i’m glad i went to watch it~ ^^

The cinema here is really different compared to Malaysia~ When the list of casts starting to come out, in malaysia the light will on immediately and the people will starting to pour out of the cinema. Here in Japan, the light will only light up after everything ended (including the song). What surprised me is that people of all ages (uncles, aunties, kids, high school girls & boys,…everyone~) come to watch this anime~ The whole cinema is full~ From morning till evening~

Teacher/Lecturer ethics?

I am here to rant about one of my lecturer! In this post, I will not expose his/her name nor gender. This lecturer has the worst teacher/lecturer ethics i ever seen! I heard from my friend who is studying education at the moment and my friend said teacher/lecturer cannot embarrass nor strip the student dignity out of them in front of other students!

Yet, this _____ (put whatever angry words inside) lecturer questioned in the matter-of-fact tone about my basic ability as a student! (i won’t put up what he/she questioned either) I doubt if anyone who read this post can understand my feeling but i felt insulted!

If other people has been listening,they will understand that the lecturer was being rude! He/she also did blurted out how in world can the lousy student come into the school and give rubbish work! How can a lecturer said something like this?! Encouraging? Definitely not! Degrading? Of course!!

[Anime] Detective Conan:The Crossroads of the Labyrinth {迷宮の十字路}

I just finished watching this anime and i found it very interesting~ All the kansai ben is so cute~ XD

This is a story about murder cases revolving around a group of robbers who uses the Japanese folklore story characters such as Benkei and Minamoto no Yoshitsune. Detective Mouri was invited to investigate a missing buddha statue that links to the murder cases. As a side story, Heiji was looking for his first love in Kyoto whom he met when he was small. There is one characteristic that he remembered about his first love that is she knows how to sing the ‘Maru-Take-Ebisu’ song (丸竹夷) which is a song all kids in kyoto know how to sing. This song desribes the road in kyoto, even new taxi drivers were teached this song to made easy their job~

I found this song to be interesting so i go search up on it~ And the song goes like this~

The story goes like this:

The story revolves around high school student Akira Nikaido, a typical slacker living a normal life. That is, until he meets the mysterious Shirogane, a man who suddenly appears and tells him that they have a destiny together. When Akira hears this, he is shocked and doesn’t believe a word of it. Aya, a friend of Akira, forgets something in the school one night, and asks Akira to help her and go find it. He agrees, and while there, he gets attacked by a shadow monster. Shirogane convinces him that the balance between the human world and the shadow world has been distorted and that Akira must become a “shin”- a creature of the shadow world- in order to help restore the balance. The anime has shōnen-ai themes which are completely absent from the manga.

I’m currently at Episode 5 now and i don’t really think this is a Yaoi anime (or what some tag in youtube) or BL. It’s being put into the category of shonen-ai but i think it’s actually a decent anime except one of the character inside with long white/silver hair called Shirogane who has romantic feeling towards Akira Nikaido. ^^;; Oh, and i love the opening and ending themes!! X3

I thinking Kengo inside the anime is very funny and he’s kidda like a Akira’s sandbag since he always get hit & kicked by Akira… XD And the girl name Aya, like so many had commented about her, is quite annoying sometimes, constantly chase after Akira & Kengo for skipping their class and even afer school! >_>

Inside the story, Akira have to ‘transform’ to beat up the monsters called ‘Kokuchi’ but somwhow Kengo and Aya don’t have to… Weird… ^^;; And their ‘transformation’…..Double weird.

Finally, i wouldn’t say this is a very very great anime (compared with Kuroshitsuji) but i’ll give it a 5 out of 10.

Warning: This comment is totally based on my own thinking, and it’s not meant to advertise anything nor suggest anything inapropriate to anyone who thinks is inappropriate. (^^;;) If you cannot take even the slightest sugestive scene of shonen-ai, keep away.

He is highly skilled in any area and handles any task, as well as any problem that arises from the errors of the other staff, with ease. This is due to the fact he is a demon bound by a “contract” to abide by Ciel’s will.

Ciel Phantomhive
The business-savvy, twelve-year-old head of the English Phantomhive noble family, taking over after the deaths of his parents.

He also runs a company that manufactures toys and sweets. His right eye, which is usually covered with a black eyepatch, bears a pentacle sign of contract which binds the demon Sebastian Michaelis to his will.

Some of the past revealed:
His parents died in a fire and in the brink of life and death (i think… ^^;;), he make a contract with Sebastian.

[edit] In recent chapters, it’s revealed that his parents were murdered and Ciel was sold to some occult believers to be sacrificed (which i think it’s actually a kind of ceremony to summon demon? ^^;;) and from here Ciel make contract with the demon which is known as Sebastian the butler now (Sebastian was the name of Ciel’s dog).

There’s some more funny characters like their cook, maid, gardener and house steward (though he only go ho ho ho and drinking tea all the time… ^^;;)

Hanbok~ ^^

This is during August when a few Koreans came to my university~

I get to wear a hanbok~ Even though it means skipping a class in the middle~

The hanbok i wear is really big in size even though 언니 said it’s free size… ^^;; I looked like i’m pregnant… I’m happy i get to wear one (even though i don’t like pink… ^^;;).
